Basic Tableau Questions


These are the mostly asked interview questions by many companies..

Q1. What is Tableau Software?

 Ans.  Its a american computer software company having headquatered in Seattle, Washington. It produce a family of interactive data visualization products focused on business intelligence.  

Q2. How To remove the All options from a Tableau auto-filter ?

Ans.  Right click filter, customize, uncheck show all option.


Ans. Left join specifies that the join the two tables should be left join. It uses before the word join. The resulting table only contain the combination among two tables with the full data set from the first table. 


Ans.  Blending axes is most when we are comparing measures that have a similar scale and units. If the scales of the two measures are drastically different the trends may be distorted.


Ans. We can use parameters in many ways like with filters ,calculated fields ,actions, measure-swap, changing views and auto updates.
